Features of the route

・This route passes attractions mainly in the northeastern area of Kyoto Gyoen in the vicinity of Seiwain Rest House. Wander through rich natural landscapes and vestiges of the former court nobles’ residential area.

Main attractions and route

Seiwain Rest House→Cricket Field→“Haha-to-ko-no-mori” Nature-Study Forest Park→Site of the Nakayama Residence and Sarugatsuji→Grasshopper Fields→Seiwain Rest House

*Seiwain Gomon Gate is recommended for visitors traveling by car. Inui Gomon Gate is recommended for visitors traveling by subway.
*Cricket Field and “Haha-to-ko-no-mori” Nature-Study Forest Park have wheelchair-accessible garden paths, making this route relatively accessible for all including wheelchair users and the elderly to enjoy nature.
*Excludes time to make a full circle from Inui Gomon Gate, Ainomachi-guchi entrance/exit, Seiwain Gomon Gate, or other main entrances/exits.
